Instead of a useless discussion about earpieces, the UCI should think about selling TV-rights packages for ALL world tour races.

So networks can't just buy 1 race and ignore another.

With an unrestricted live stream available on the web, as per Gazzetta's coverage of Giro D'Italia and Milano-San Remo, so people around the world can watch, regardless of what their local TV stations might choose to broadcast.

Which means they worked it out poorly.

Doesn't mean you should give up

tv stations just aren't interested, other than in maybe catalunya this race doesn't matter to anyone or any country. the uci can't deicde what people and countrys want to see if will always stay traditional. we guys are just cyclingmaniacs but no no way regular cycling watchers

Cadel Evans:"It's a different style of racing in Spain," the former world champion said. "It'll be more for the pure climbers. I'm going good on the short climbs, but these are longer and steeper

So at the moment he is going good on the short steep climbs but not the longer climbs

Yeah even so he is still probably a better chance than some that were mentioned. Contador is going to have to turn up below his best for anyone else to have more than a small chance.

There are better climbers (for this course) then him (by him I mean evans). I'd be very surprised if he made podium.

Personally I expect to see Evans in a top-10 in a place from 6th to 10th but not higher, imo the possibility of such a result is high but there are a lot of riders which can do it better for now.

Can't wait to go to Tarragona on Friday and to see the final stage in my hometown. What a pity Purito won't be able to race and defend his title, but I'll cheer for Tondo and Contador instead.

Looking at the names on the start tomorrow it's unbelievable that it's not sent live. Evans, Basso, Scarponi, Contador, Menchov, Sastre...

+ it's on the same level of prestige as Paris-Nice, Dauphiné, Romandie and La corsa dei due mari.

I don't think it's on the same prestigelevel as PN. It is just allotted the same amount of ranking points.

22.45 monday night and its offered to 'series record' so my guess is theres more.

oh there are definately daily highlights on eurosport but the times are random. anywhere between 5pm and midnight. If you set sky+ set it for a good hour either side. if you set it for the program you will miss it, guaranteed.

there are still several places hinting at coverage tommorow from 4pm cet. maybe that is the highlights package being streamed from spain. dunno.

You are right there are better climbers than Evans who is not in top form yet. Still not to include him in a list of favourites when you do include Uran, Mollema, Brajkovic and mention Tarramae, D. Martin and Di Luca seems wrong.

That's because it used to have a stupid date, but they changed it again in 2010. Has a better date now, so you'll see more big guys going to the race now :)

Yes but it's not as prestigous as Paris Nice, not by a long shot. Ask anyone in the peloton which one they would rather win, 90% of the field would say Paris Nice.

Of course, but it belongs in the same tier. Romandie is not as prestigious as P-N yet you didn't complain about that.

This year T-A > P-N though

I don't even know what this means.

it's not that hard to read. all you have to do is acknowledge I forgot to put a space between "i" and "wasn't" and you will understand it. Use your brain.

Anyway, Cardoso is my tip for the opening stage.

lol don't underestimate cadel, you all know when alberto will do his move,he will follow even he will be in the red zone in march,he doesn't care too much.alberto will go hard,i can't see more than basso, cadel and scarponi with him.

i see at least a stage win for the killer here in volta.

lol your so dumb, it really bothers me how thick one can be
It clearly wasn't it reference to that (in fact I've never cared how one spells or uses grammar.. its pointless), but your statement in general.

No iwasn't saying that....

You said that ^ I said, I don't even know what that means, as when I replied earlier I clearly was referring to what cadel said, as all you did was quote him.

read between the lines kiddo
so next time before you ask me to use my brain, use it yourself. You do this a lot - make yourself look stupid I mean.

----
anywho should be a good race, unfortunate there is no coverage; would have been fun seeing mollema drop the pack ;)

actually you should of said, "you're so dumb" as "your" is in the possesive case.:D

How can you say you weren't reffering to what cadel said when you said...

Pretty much what I have been saying for the past few months :D

He is naturally better on shorter climbs anyway. You'd never see him ride as dominant and strong on real mountains as he did at TA.

The vuelta 09' is perfect example. On the real climbs he failed and the likes of gesink always dropped him. However on that one short steep (think it was 1km @22% or something), Evans was right up there at the front, the only stage he looked amongst the strongest.

So maybe you should use your brain, kiddo!

Mellow Velo, I don't have breakfast at 9:45am ;)

re-read my post.
I just said I was referring to what cadel said. So I don't get what your post mean, as it wasn't your opinion I was replying to. I don't understand your confusion.
