dammit mollema, that was a chance to take green. doubt he got a good enough placing.
Who cares. I don't. Podium place was more important and that didn't work.
Most unthankful place in this GC..4th. Nobody will remember

Same time gap at the start of the climb, as when the group finished.
One dimensional Sky even got the finish wrong.

That was what is called a "moment of awesomeness"

The Basque fans are just the greatest.

The only thing missing was Anton going to both sides and clapping the hands of the fans while rolling in.

Magic stage.

Chapeau to Bruseghin as well, been pleasantly surprized by him these vuelta.

The rider that wears a stealth-helmet most of the time. Even for years.
Have you seen this man ?
He is the perfect example for continuity. :D

Good Vuelta.

There couldn't have been a better winner today. Tomorrow that guy with the weird name without any pro victories!

Let's not get fooled, if Froome couldn't get away it was just because he didn't have the legs. The climb was more than enough to put some distance on Cobo had he felt stronger.

Amazing day, always loved Euskaltel and the Basque fans, truly the greatest ones! Hopefully the Vuelta will come to Bilbao again next year, but with Anton wearing the Red Jersey.

But Sky could have brought the break back and let Froome and Cobo sprint it out for the stage/seconds, see if Froome had it in him for a sprint of just a few seconds.

Sweet. Sometimes the romantic dream does come true.

Wiggo shows a 4th place can be remembered :D. Although maybe not unless it is TdF

Mollema has been very impressive in a consistent unshakeable not rocket fuelled looking way, he will podium a GT I am sure.

Froome left it a bit late. Final 600/700m?

I think you have to put Wiggins full force at the foot of the climb and then launch Froome...and even then it would have been hard
