I still think Froome will make his big dash for glory tomorrow.

Froome/Wiggins racing against Cobo/Menchov over the last 45Km after the thinning of the group on the Urkiola.

I think the Sky duo are better time trialers so it is just possible they could make enough of a gap to steal back the lead.

A lot depends on how Wiggo's legs are he has looked not so hot the last few climbs.

i hope anton gets the stage too. apparently they pass through his home area on the last climb. :)

bruiseghin adds speed to the break but they could use some help staying away. hoping more riders join.

looks like they already lost seconds :(

Just because you're a better time trial specialist doesn't mean you can just ride away from everyone lol.

First of all, they're riding on road bikes not time trial bikes. A lot of cyclists suck at time trials because they don't train enough on their time trial bike, not because they're weak on the flat or riding solo. Second of all, you can draft while in a time trial you cannot. No way Froome and Wiggins just ride away from Cobo and Menchov on flat or slightly hilly part.

Wiggins's heart wasn't in it on the Peña Cabarga stage, he all but admitted it. Trouble is that by losing so much time, he massively reduced Froome's chances of winning because it made it a two-way tussle at the top. Not sure I'd want Wiggins as a team mate; it's not the first time he's let his side down.

Yes, and that's why I mentioned it. I'm quite busy and my intro was concise as you can see, but to call it poor just because you would have done it differently was frankly a cheap shot on your part that I didn't expect.

It would be like doing a intro for the Sierra Nevada stage without including a profile of the final climb.

You were so desperate to Daotec everyone into creating the stage thread, you overlooked what the stage really is about.

Change the subject into me all you want, the criticism is legitimate.

Xavier Zandio, Froome's teammate on SKY, predicted fireworks.
“Today is the day!" he said at sign-in today "We’ll play all our chances to win the Vuelta with Froome on the finish line, not at the intermediate sprints. We want to make the race hard in the climb of El Vivero. Tomorrow, there are just way too many kilometers from the climb of Urkiola to the finish in Vitoria.”

Is that mean TTT in the final descent? Cobo/Menchov vs. Froome/Wiggins?

yes i think froome will start the turbo reactor on vivero big time, cobo even might need menchov to chase him on that 8 km flat part.
let's hope it will be a showdown.

39 degrees at a cycling race, it just unfair unless its the Tour Down Under when the heat is the only thing making it difficult.
