Saying that Eisel is German is nothing like saying Haussler is German. Haussler has a German father, Eisel is truly Austrian. Still I think that he is not top-class and he has been very lucky so far in the Vuelta.

Stage 2 hard man sprint with an uphill that kills all trains (and Boonen) and is won by Chris Sutton ahead of Renyes.

Stage 5 Katusha sets up Purito for 20 bonus seconds and a time gap for the GC battle.
Stage 6 Liquigas strikes back with super descending/TTT to give Nibali a time gap for the GC.

+Two young new stars have entered the grand stage. And unpredictable sprints can be fun.

yeah he can, a 2 k solo is not above his limits(Belgian Champs-a little less though/Clasica San Sebastian). A 10 k solo on the other hand ...

Sprinting is inherently dangerous and these things will happen from time to time.

Today was simply a racing incident. Both guys went for the same gap, were unsighted by a slower rider and ultimately collided.

We never know. We often hear how riders are ok and then it turns out they are broken or at least injured. Gesink sang this song this July and Cadel Tour 2010 also springs to mind, for recent examples.

Its when you wake up the next day that you feel it.

Probably. How far from the finish did Evans attack on his win, and i assume a lot of that 1700 is downhill.

If Valverde is there, it might be a problem. But if hes not allowed to race Phil can always win a selected sprint.

The Dutch will definately give it a fight on home soil. If he keeps improving I give Poels the biggest chance as he is the most explosive clearly, of the home-riders
