I heard it from Phil on the NBC Sports Network. I should have never posted it as fact.

Congratulations maltiv, what was that you were saying about Evans chances earlier this thread???maltiv said:Nordhaug clearly the strongest today, as I predicted...
Thor has announced he is doing the Giro, he still may do the Tour but I think it is possible he may sit out.dlwssonic said:hmm but Im not sure if there is space for him. And he is pretty incosistent. This year they have added good riders into team and there might be better/more consistent climbers in BMC.
Lets see
Evans
Gilbert
Hushovd
Hincapie
Burghardt
Tejay van Garderen
Stephen Cummings
Moinard?
Morabito?
Pinotti?
Schar?
Frank?
Santamorita??

movingtarget said:According to a George Hincapie interview in a recent issue of Peloton magazine, Evans is hands off when it comes to team selections. This is what George had to say : "Lance was more hands- on with who he wanted around him at the Tour. He would rely a lot on what I said on the road, but outside of the actual race I'd be there more to calm him down. He'd always be mad at someone, so I'd kind of be like the x-factor.
Cadel is more hands-off. It seems like he's more hands off when it comes to who gets selected for the Tour. Cadel is always super focused on his training as was Lance, as is Contador. The thing that is similar about them is that they are all freaks. They are all really good cyclists, like the guys that race with them, but these guys - the way they train is incredible. Cadel can suffer more than anyone on the planet. The guy can put himself through so much hurt. His lifestyle is basically training camp to training camp. Everything is geared towards the Tour De France.
Lance was like that too, but he wouldn't race as much and as well as Cadel did throughout the year. Lance just wanted to do well in the Tour. Of course he's win races before and after, but he wouldn't be as on as Cadel is."
