So it rains.

Beware of the Basques. Verdugo is in good form and likes rainy weather. Nieve responds very well to apocalyptic circumstances. Sanchez might do something on a descent.

Good one :) It's his true definition as a cyclist.

Don't they use a fixed wing aircraft in really bad weather so we get relay from the moto cameras?

Don't know, but whatever it is it would have to be fairly high to get above the crud....rather mountainous in that area.

How different a month makes - I was in Milano for a few days late in August - heatwave on, above 30C every day, not a cloud in the sky.

Wow, that picture must have been taken very close from where I was standing that day.

It was a hard day... awful weather.

I don't know. They still have helicops but they said it's no sure things.
What a bunch of inepts.

In fairness to those responsible for the TV - as I understand it, the chopper or aircraft needs line of sight to get the pictures. Low cloud will stop the choppers, an Aircraft might be able to operate higher up, but line of sight (fog etc dont matter, objects in the line do), and with the mountains and airports with their traffic it would be difficult.

Time will tell, at a minimum there should be some fixed cameras on the mountain tops.
