Kristoff actually looking good now and not a peep from ACF, after all that hype last year. Team fanboyism - so totally pointless.

He even had to stop pedaling in the middle of the sprint and still won.

Some people won't like it, but Cavendish is a legend in the making.

I hope there will be sprinters that can challenge him in the TdF like Kittel, but somehow I doubt it.

To think I turned over the cricket and missed Strauss scoring 15 runs for that last 20km.

Gimme a 300 ball Trott hundred for excitement any day than a flat 120km stage and a train of tedium Cav win.

I'm starting to doubt Guardini's skill...he's nowhere near top 5 in these finishes...

His skill in sprints maybe. It doesnt say anything about his speed.

Not many people have worse positioning for sprints than Greipel, but Guardini is one of them. He's only young but I suspect he may be a Quaranta mk 2.0.

That is technically a spoiler, but I dont think many people mind as nothing major is going to happen over at Lords for a while.

it's not positioning that guardini sucks so hard in. he lacks engine. he suffers in every wt race or race with many wt teams, like qatar as well. the guy is more overrated than vincenzo nibali

Guardini doesn't have the power to be competitive in such sprints. He says himself that he's exhausted before the sprint even starts. Hopefully he'll get stronger with the years, because his acceleration is just incredible.

Kristoff wasn't close. Cavendish crushed this. It was an impressive display of sprinting acumen. He was isolated and still crushed this.
Wouldn't say isolated, with 6 Sky keeping him at the very front for the last kms. But he did got boxed in a little, and then found his way out.

Saxo started too early, the last km they were overwhelmed

Goss clearly hadn't the power anymore

Kristoff came from somewhere?

FDJ was nowhere to be seen

i don't get it all these teams know Cav is too fast for everyon and still they work all the stage, let Sky do the work so they may not have enough man left for the last 10 km's...

As the others say, speed is only part of sprinting. Look at Haedo for example, it was always said he had a great speed but never had great results...

This stage could've been tailor-made for Guardini, so short and easy, yet he was nowhere...we'll see how he develops but I'm doubtful
