Then who asides from Cav, Greipel and Kittel (dont know what you think about him) are not?

Sprinters that are missing at this point of the Giro:

Edvald Boasson Hagen, Peter Sagan, Tom Boonen, Andre Greipel, Alessandro Petacchi, Marcel Kittel, Tyler Farrar, Romain Feillu, etc

Quite a few big names there. ;)

And Goss had a crash, so wasn't performing at his best. That only leaves us with one good sprinter this Giro. Takes a legend to beat the sprinting field here apparently. ;)

Agreed, Haedo is one of the very fastest in the pro peloton.Doesn't help much when you start the sprint as number 30 though
Funny how these "fastest guys in the peloton" are always the ones who have other shortcomings that prevent them from proving it on the road.

you can easily recognize them by that they win those 3 stages in their careers where they actually as well positioned ;)

Quite. And no account seems to be taken of the effort required to put yourself in the right place physically, quite apart from the skill it requires. Hardly surprising the chumps sitting 25 back have enough in the tank to go streaming past fading leadout riders to record a glorious 9th place.

Haedo is such a mediocre sprinter. Saxo train did exellent to put him in a decent position. What did he end up with? 9-10th?..

I consider him one of those hit and miss guys. One day he has a convincing win, then he's back to being nowhere for another few races. As opposed to always running a mediocre top ten, say.

Most of the top 10 here are mediocre sprinters.

Well, if you have won 33 GT stages and you are 26 years old, then every other (active) sprinter looks mediocre.

Old habits die hard. Cav looks like he could do with a quality leadout, Renshaw's little "I'm a real sprinter!" experiment has failed. I think old ties need to be renewed.
I agree, a match made in heaven (or hell!). Renshaw was the business when getting Cav into the right winning position. Sort the money out and get him on the team.

Congrats to Cav. I think Goss started too early but Cav still looked as if he would have won.

It's good that GE can surge to the front at the end but they needed a few more men.

Greenedge's problem today was not a lack of men. They used their guys fantastically, as the late surge showed, they had the perfect number, really. Their real problems are that Goss is a bit injured and a lot not Mark Cavendish.
