This stage could be the Giro's answer to Big Bore Lake.

Probably felt sorry for the guy. He could only afford a pair of shorts, so they gave him a Mario special.
Love 'im, he did run after them and try to give it back. (before getting on the pedals)

This is so dull. Good luck attracting new, big audiences with this spectacle, team managers. If you don't find a way to encourage aggressive racing, eventually you won't have much of a product to sell.
