In all reality he's doing what a pure climber like him should do. Take advantage when the roads go up.
I hope he can stay away and take time on the other favourites. The downhill right now isn't good for him, but let's hope he can follow Cunego for a while.
Allthough right now I hear that Cunego allready dropped Rujano on the downhill.
