Don't like the sprinter field here. Too many fast guys missing like Greipel, Kittel and Petacchi.
All 3 were in Turkey.... didn't see much of them there. Kittel had bad luck. Greipel has no help at all and Petacchi is clearly over the top and not even of the level of guys like Goss and Bos anymore in speed

Wow. That is pretty flat. Even with the rather weak sprinter field it is hard to know Cav's fitness and if his mind in it. He sometimes seems disinterested to start.

Renshaw to leadout Bos for the win, Cav messes up and just barely misses winning, but make up for it in the other stages.

Any chance Taylor will keep the jersey? Cav, for example is only 47 seconds back.

Certainly today. Cav needs to win 2 out of 3 of the sprints coming up, and Sky beat BMC in the TTT and he'll get pink.

Cav will not win, for I did not pick him, and he never wins the first stage of a GT. ;)

I wanna see a team destroy the peloton with the cross winds! Garmin maybe?

I would enjoy that as well no matter what team it is that try's it, but if the stage ends in a bunch sprint I'm going for Cav.

As said before, wind will play no role today:

And even with stronger wind, it still would play no special role on this route.

Most typical winds are from north west, just as today. The peleton leaves the west coast with more than 100k to go. And from the GPM-bump in Lemvig its 80+ km tail-wind to the finish.

Now, IF the route had been designed counter-clockwise with a finish in Ringkøbing and a bit more winds, then we could talk about wind induced carnage to the peleton and sure exciting racing.

Edit: Or better; a clock-wise route from Herning, down to Esbjerg and a finish in Ringkøbing. But of course all depends of bids and negotiations with neighbour cities.

The only exciting moments of today are how many crashes we will see at the few narrow roads towards Herning. And, of course, the final sprint.

I foresee a lot of crashes unfortunately

For once I must agree with you ... it will be less bad as the time they started in Netherlands but still pretty bad ... classic Zomegnan

So who is gonna win today? Will Caw screw up yet another first sprint in a gt?

I'll pick Guardini, mainly because he got a pretty cool name... :D

chicchi for the win

i want pozzovivo and rujano safe so denmark,please... no wind

If Chicchi wins OPQS need to bottle whatever they're giving their riders this year and make it available for the wider good.
