The issue here is that there were no South Americans involved, so bashing them out of the blue just as a way to get back to Ryo gets pretty tiresome.

I was wrong, my first thought was, that you can say it's racist when the color of the skin is different, but actually if someone say something negative about a country and about the people in it then it can be racist too, but yes, move on!
