He'll just do what A-S does in his TTT (who stays glued onto Fabian's wheel), and stay right on Freire's wheel without really taking any turns. I think they'll do fine.

I say that they will lose more than 40sec from the winner team

Well, I didn't say that they will all of the sudden be in top-3. 30-40 seconds sounds reasonable. Probably meaning 10-20 seconds to any other contenders at the worst. No disaster by any means

Sky seems like they've tried their hardest to make a squad without TT'ers. With the amount of good time trialists they have on their roaster it's pretty surprising that EBH is the only decent TT'er who will be at T-A. So I highly doubt they will do much in the TTT, probably around 8th like last year.

That's a bit of a misconception - that you have to have a team full of ITT specialists to have a good TTT. Maybe the case for a long TDF-style one, but for one this short there are always a few sprinters/other not TT specialists who do well in these

He hasn't been a good time trialist for three years now.

I know he has lost of his TT-abilities a bit since he started to improve his climbing but I still think he can do good TTT's.

And neither were BMC at the tour.... anyway...
Sprinters like Cav make up an integral part of the TTT squads especially these shorter ones. Cav and Eisel were the most important parts of the HTC TTT unit (besides obviously Martin) just read anything about it.
Cav in describing his 2010 TTT vuelta win described how he was the main guy in it (proves a point even if he a big head), EBH is incredibly strong + Lofkvist if on form is still a force (see vuelta last year stage 17) the sprinters like Sutton and Hayman as mentioned above will help and Stannard has shown himself as having good form and has a very impressive engine. Besides that they're not too bad...;)

i am going with liquigas for the win, they have been training their TTT for the giro and this is probably the only chance they will have to test it before it so i expect a good peformance.

RSN looks to be a stage hunting team for TA. Horner's first race back in almost a year (where not that far from the Cali) He did not race any until the TDF and only got in a week there before disaster. Sure hope he can get up to speed, jumping into a big race like this.

He might even have to suck wheel in the TTT. I've already posted elsewhere that he should forget about the GC and lose a lot of time. Then take a shot at stage 4 or 5 when things go up.

Good luck Chris!

Nobody has a standout TTT team.
Garmin, I guess, but GreenDregs look useful on paper.
Even these look an engine short.
RS, BMC a couple short, Sky, half a team.

I can't see the Bus repeating.

I think it's between Sky and RNT. BMC to round out the podium. Then Garmin, OPQS, Rabobank, Liquigas.

I think Sky will take this. Garmin, BMC, RSNT and maybe Liquigas/ Rabo to fight it out for the other top 5.

I'm just looking forward to Goss starting his peak.
