It's very clear that the wind has changed in the final part of the TTT, of the last teams nobody posted a good time while they didn't have bad line ups.
Yes. Although BMC and Rabo aren't really flying so far in the season. Gilbert even got dropped.

Mixture of bad form and wind, probably.

just wait until they arrive in abruzzo with di luca skinnier than ever,it will be a festival.
nibali prepare yourself to work for you leader from back in 2007.

Lofkvist usually does well at Tirreno so I would put him over EBH tbh ;)

Do they have the Giro invite in the bag? The Saxo issue will likely not be resolved by then. Garzelli wants to end his career at the Giro and will race in 2013 if he has to.

beautiful countryside. But what the... cyclists riding opposite direction on the other side of the 2-lane road? I guess the cones are supposed to separate the racers from the sunday riders. (take it easy on me. I'm a noob at Tirreno)

the whispers were that if they win tirreno, rcs will get an extra wildcard for them.that's why this race is the most important thing for acqua e sapone, they are very motivated.they even trained for this TTT for a week.
of course there is still a question mark on who will win it,garzelli or di luca?:)

very impressed though by papy horner, can he win the overall after almost one year with no races and blood thinners?i say it's possible but acqua e sapone will do whatever what it takes to beat him.

Where are you guys getting the full standings from?

Nowhere. Unlike Paris-Nice so it usually takes some time for the standings to become available.

Didn't Millar get dropped by Garmin after he had a mechanical? So he probably isn't at 17 seconds.

Great job by AeS. I don't think that anyone would have seen them as remotely likely to actually gain time on most of the big contenders in a TTT!

Good job by Green Edge too. They have a team full of sprinters and time triallists, so, given that they've done nothing in the sprints so far it's just as well that the time trialling is coming good.

Some pretty poor performances by other teams here. Liquigas, BMC and Coldeportes most obviously.

I didn't get to see much of that and only had the audio. $%^%$ work. I was not surprised that Green Edge could lay down a great ride here. I did briefly saw Horner suffering to keep from getting dropped by the Cancellara.

Welcome back Chris!:D

Green Edge. Kings of the day!

Absolutely. It's kind of obnoxious actually.

Give it a rest. Absolutely everyone has made fun of Greenedge. British, Dutch, Belgian, American, Australian, everyone.

Pretty disgusting to try and paint it as British fans. But not surprising.

Well the number one poster for having digs at GE which seems to be in almost every single one of his posts is definitely British. Andy99 I think. He claims it is for other reasons but I never see him slagging Euskaltel or Francaise des jeux who are just as weak.

Then maybe they could direct posts at Andy99?

It's a little bit galling considering the amount of nonsense El Pistolero writes about Sky, and Britain, and British fans.

Kruijswijk could barely hang on today, let alone take turns, so I guess he's another victim of the unique Rabo programme which gets literally everyone in bad form. You can scratch him off that list.

Horner put himself in an excellent position today.

Yeah, that's an almost perfect start for Horner.

I wouldn't write Kruijswijk or others off yet, simply because it was hard to tell how well many of the contenders were going today. Cancellara obviously looked great, and EBH looked strong, but I can't really see him as a challenger. Kreuziger looked good from what I could tell.

What an epic fail from Columbia Coldeporkies.

That's a little bit harsh. I don't think he's just anti-Brit.
El Pistachio posts a huge amount and it's all nonsense.;)

Btw, Don't you think Phil Gilbert is going great this season?:D
BMC's stomach problems seem to be inter continental.
Nice photos:
