Well the number one poster for having digs at GE which seems to be in almost every single one of his posts is definitely British. Andy99 I think. He claims it is for other reasons but I never see him slagging Euskaltel or Francaise des jeux who are just as weak.

Euskaltel and Francaise de jeux have earned the fans respect over a long period of time.

Greenedge have bought their way in.

Hmm. Ridden any?

Yes. Numerous, and had victories too.

Granted they can be satisfying to ride when all are pinging, but from a spectators point of view (which I am now!) I don't rate them.

Greenedge have been laughed at at nearly everyone on here, mainly due to their recruitment policy of no hiring anyone who can go up mountains. It has nothing to do with nationality and the original poster knows it. Once again he goes fishing and reels lots in. Oh and can people stop quoting him, ruins the ignore function and I just got a hook in my mouth ;)

Nice work by GE- glad they won their first race outside of Australia. Now i just hope Goss can show his form is coming.

@ The Hitch- how else were GE supposed to rise to the WT. THe riders they have got were basically all on WT teams last year so they had to offer them WT slots as well. I know that EE were the equivalent of PC before they became WT but times are changing. You could also go off at teams like Sky and BMC in their foundings.

I think you will find people going off at sky and bmc all the time. RadPísstrek too ;)

Obviously the key to succes in a TTT during the T-A is Sebastiaan Langeveld.

Yep. And to be fair to BMC, they did start below WT level.

Sporza also had a great commentator in Frank Hoste. He knew a lot about team time trials, so good to listen to.

Movistar website says Visconti had a mechanical in first K today, so the team waited for him. That accounts for some of their time loss.

Edit-
And Quinziato tweeted about just finishing a course of antibiotics, so that explains his result. Wonder if lots of the BMC guys in T-A are sick? Would explain Gilbert's struggles.

Seems like Gilbert made a lot of enemies at Lotto lol.

http://www.sporza.be/cm/sporza/wielrennen/120307_De_Wolf_scherp

Gilbert also can't stand Marck Coucke.

"Dropping like that, that's not the Gilbert I know. Gilbert will never ever drop."

"At least not in a team time trial! Dropping for tactical reasons is bull****. This is not normal. Philippe is used to hurting everyone, now he knows what pain is for a change."

"He hurt me last year(by not taking him with him to BMC). It's hard to feel compassion now. But let us only draw conclusions when the real races begin."

--> Dirk de Wolf.

I always thought Gilbert did not take him with him to BMC because the people there hated him. Or because Dirk De Wolf was too neurotic or something.

Yet another crackpot theory on why Gilbert sucks atm.

Big congrats to GreenEDGE and specifically to Brian Nygaard who really stuck it to his old team.

You think Nygaard feels good today....what about Matt White. Take that Garmin, and in your own specialty.

hmm. I think horner is in a nice position, also he stands to benefit from the final TT.

Rabo, bmc etc were pretty bad, but i guess the wind played its part.
I was hoping vac. would do a little better, I suspect poels to be in some fine form this week.

Ok i knew that the memory just escaped me ( thx for correcting-everyone ). Even RSNT/ Radioshack/ Leopard were though.

Besides most of the GE riders are Aussie and those coaches helped develop most of those Aussies- on the track.

25!! His voice sounds more like 45.I think he is one of Eurosport's utility commentators .He definately does his homework though.Seems to have an encyclopeadic knowledge of all the riders palmares.

no stage thread for today?
lol italians and their beautiful crazy routes for a bunch sprint.
it seems like today's stage might not end in a sprint.at 7 km to go to the finish: strappo di Ponticino(max 12%!!!).imagine paris-nice,there it would be a cat 2 climb.
betancur for the win!
