Nah, Nibali couldn't follow Froome, he was well gapped too. Wiggins never bothered to try and go with it. Either had nothing more, or stopping to shout in his radio.

If they had let Froome go, they would be 1-2 at the end of tonight and the win would be guaranteed. As it stands, there is still a slim chance it could all go wrong, ala the Vuelta (although highly uinlikely it must be said)

They want a pure Britisher to be the first British winner of the Tour De France.

So Froome could have dusted Wiggins, but told not to? Sounds like Michael Schumacher being gifted the win from Rubens Barrichello in their Ferrari days!
