so sagan does not get the point in intermediate sprint and also the he does not take the stage too I guess

that wouldn't make a lot of sense if Goss is not there, because Sagan is going to win the sprint even if they catch him.
It seems now that the peloton is quite large, so maybe even Goss is there.

Greenedge going to catch Sagans group I guess, they have already taken over a minute and it is still 50k to the intermediate sprint.

Could be Goss vs. Sagan for the win then. Expect Wiggins to make another "me Wiggo, me strong" move on the 3rd cat.

Is Pinot back?

Hope Sky let EBH go for it, final should suit him well.

OGE will go for the stage, they don't have many opportunities left and today is a good chance with Goss when so many sprinters are gone.

would be a bit stupid having him on the front earlier then?_?

Given how the situation now is why not let him go for it. Of course Sky didn't start the stage with the aim to set up EBH for a stage win. Yellow is top priority and EBH is a key domestique.

So what are the chances that the bickering wives of Froome and Wiggins have turned up the tension between the sky boys and we might actually see some drama? :D

If you want loyalty, get a Froome dog… a quality I value… although being taken advantage of by others!

See Mick Rogers and Richie Porte for examples of genuine, selfless effort and true professionalism.

Anybody else spot the rope-a-dope today or was it that convincing?? :)))

for clarity :) rope-a-dope: strategies in which one party purposely puts itself in what appears to be a losing position

Goss is one of the many riders who is almost unanimously considered to be vastly overrated on this forum, which actually means he's a bit underrated, but on this forum only.

Err, he has won Milan Sanremo and stages of Grand Tours. He is also a very fast sprinter. I haven't seen many, if any saying he is much more than what I have just said.

Costa said that today it took easy as soon as he realized he wouldn't be able to fight for a decent GC position and started to save himself to get into breakaways.

so i will tip him off for tomorrow :p

good to see he still prefers a stage win over a top 20 place

yeah that's good to see, i think Machado thinks the other way around :(

I agree (kind of), if they think EBH can win it now then why didn't they start with this objective? I realise that perhaps Porte & Rogers may be tired but with the two climbs at the start I'm sure they could have spared him.

they are waiting for Cav I think, he is just 4 minutes behind, making up time quickly

I don't think they have any intention of going for the victory for Cav, the gruppetto is now about 15 minutes behind the leaders and considering how slot the main group is going has no intention of getting back. Unless multiple teams decide to go for it (and Liquigas and OGE don't seem interested) there's no way anyone but the front 5 will win today.

Breakaway ftw today then. Bit surprised Greenedge aren't pulling at all. Goss is in the group right?
