I know the TDF has been considered boring and if this stage is ( i will be really disappointed ) but this thread has already more pages than most of the 2nd week stages.

Feels like? Humidity factor? That'll give us the true temperature.

Cav wasn't far off the front on a HC climb! They are going slow and anoth45km or so till the start of the weaker side of the Tourmalet.

And he's still with them. That's serious soft peddling.

38 in the break

5:26 gap

The break seems to have shattered in the descent.

Gusev abandoned; hit the deck in the descent.

Horner fell in a ravine going uphill. Must have been the Schleckshock, but he has returned.

Strong sunshine, no wind. Humidity varying between 30 and 40%. I'd say its feeling pretty roasting out there:cool:

ASO needs to rethink the mountain competition (again), because it seems that every year only 1-2 people are interested in the bloody jersey.

So people just can't go up HC climbs. :) Thing is I would have said Bernie was one of them which is why the slow comment.

Who has been dropped? And how is that even possible? Is Farrar protecting his position?

It's not ASO, but UCI and it's rubbish ranking.

If KoM was worth as much points as e.g. as much as 4th place at the Tour - then lots of riders would go for it instead of defending places from 4-10 in GC. Give KoM more UCI points and lot of riders will go for it.

Now, it's almost worthless in the ranking and the points it gives.

Awesome, they are almost at the feeding zone. I wonder who can bring the most bottles at once... so exciting.

Sagan carrying bottles today, good team-work!

He doesn't need to contest any intermediates, heck any final sprints, just has to get over the finish line now.

He will roll into Paris in Green, nab a few points on the final sprint but really playing safe should be the plan.

Even the prize money isn't worth the effort.

Evans might attack & you will miss out on his performance of a lifetime.
