Breaking news: Gabrovski (who surprisingly won the MTF in Tour of Turkey by 5 minutes or so) won't be seen in a bike race for at least 2 years!

Shocking!

But didnt when he went from 33 to 34 so it suggests that other factors must have a big influence too. Im fast approaching 34, hope my form doesnt dip like this :eek:

there's a spiritual leader teaching a secret "shuduplegz" mantra that extends your in-form lifetime to 41

Woah, Kern has been riding solo until now? Dumbest move ever? :p

1. Rolland was supposed to attack
2. He was afraid of being dropped, at least now he's around to help Rolland...

Is it me or did Wiggo not look so hot on Aspin, his "Toussuire face" ?

Reckon Evan's getting dropped has screwed Sky's tactics here, they want to be riding this climb hard, but are stuck now behind Kern and Vanendert riding slowly...

THe allure is the guarantee invite to all the major races. As we saw this year, the wild cards will sometimes go to unexpecting teams (IE Team NetApp getting a GIro invite instead of Garzellli's team) If a top team relegated, the sponsor will be unhappy, i.e. Geox who spent all the money on Sastre, Cobo and Menchov last year, and not receiving a Tour invite as a wildcard meant the sponsor didn't get a return on their investment. THus, Geox pulled the sponsorship at the end of the year.

Thanks guys. I knew that part and was working on the (probably wrong) assumption that by this stage of the season the bigger teams would have secured their position on the WT for next season. Hard to think that a team like RSNT or Lotto (two of the least aggressive in this TdF GC wise) are in danger of losing their top 18 placing. Mind you Geox won a GT last year and yet didn't make it onto the WT, so what do I know?

Evans being dropped is obviously bad for him, but great for the stage as Nibali & VdB will probably throw the kitchen sink at it. If Evans had hung in there I could have imagined another gentle coast up a climb. This may be worth the wait after all.

The lack of Tomalaris is one of the best things about moving from Australia to the UK. ;)

I hope, that after they saw that Evans is not so strong, Nibali and VdB will attack after attack.
That's just cruel. He'll drop on his own, don't worry. Now if they somehow put Wiggins in trouble, then I'll applaud.

Either that was one of the most brilliant bluffs ever (unlikely) or we won't be seing any Evants (geddid :D) today, at least not in a positive sense.
