Too big for what?

for a good cooperation, such huge group means that a lot of guys won't work along the way just stay behind all time...

Probably see it break up on the climb? Or maybe some teams have a few people in there with one or two of them doing work while the guy really going for the stage waits for later.

Cummings and Hincapie up there for BMC. Maybe they have a cunning plan. Evans tries to break away and hopes to hook up with those two along a valley/false flat somewhere.

They don't really need to do any 'work' for the break though, the peloton has let them go and strongest rider in the break should win, with the climbs coming shortly we'll see some jetsam off the back soon.

The first climb will make the group shorter. Still, many guys from the 15~25 range - Menchov, Costa, CAS, Vorganov, Casar that, if they win a few minutes, can enter in the top 10.

A group that Sky should have controlled in my opinion... this is dangerous for every reasons.

Btw, a group with Vino and Voigt is amazing !

fortunately that day Sky weren't in charge.

True. Oh well, I would at least hope that such a big break would mean that Sky would go harder than Cavendish tempo on the Aubisque.

I don't think there's Menchov in the break...

tempo in the bunch seems rather high, first part of the bunch strung out, they don't let the group take to much time, still only 3 minutes ahead

Surprsied there's no-one from Luquigas there. Moivstar should explore this to get their stage win with 2 strong riders there ( Karpets is very mediocore )

It's very much 'meh' break, no-one even close to being dangerous for Wiggins and Sky.

Someone that would be in there with about 10 minutes. Someone like Rolland.

Other than that - I don't see how this break will threathen Sky today at all... ( some people say Sky shouldn't have let such big group go )

Evans should remember this climb of the Aubisque, as it is where he attacked from a break during his first TDF back in 2005 - though it was the last climb on that day.
