I'm going to stick my neck out, think this one is perfect for Goss - short, lumpy, and the team will be motivated. (Still at 9 guys, I think?)

Robbie McEwen said Goss was a bit demotivated because of the 30 points deduction. That's why he wasn't there supposedly on Saturday. Doubt the moral is high after them working all day and Goss not being there in the end.

Cav? Perhaps you didnt notice that there is a Cat 4 climb not that far from the finish

Its a worry. For a rider that won Milan San Remo he seems to have lost any climbing skills. If he's serious about the Olympics with 9 laps of Box hill he'll have to be able to deal with stages like this. (Box hill probably would rate a Cat 4 in the Tour)

Another day for Peter Sagan trying to get another stage win? Or a rest day in peloton after yesterday's hard day? Or both?

There's a school of thought which says that Cav is keeping his powder dry before the Games. If he shows that he's climbing well the other countries may come armed with some more tricks up their sleeves. I remain unconvinced either way.

as long as cadel is not going to win the tour and goss was unable to win any stage, i understand this must tour de fail for many australians.

Maybe for the flag wavers but not for the real fans. If they want a more interesting race they need a better course. Put the mountains in where they will prove decisive, not 40 kms from the finish. It has been ok so far but I thought the Giro was much better and the Vuelta.

Nothin but a sore shoulder. Harden up, Kiser and get on your bike.

Break will take it. Sprinter teams are tired and its a pretty tough stage with lots of small hills.

Orica should put Gerrans in the break.

Agree with that! (if only it were that easy)

It is nothing to do with my nationality on why I think this is a boring tour. I think Cadel is going to do very well in the Pyrenees. I am just not entertained by a lot of the racing. The racing and the route has not inspired me. I was originally one of the big defenders of this route initially but I just think it has been boring. :(

Sorry but i am just sick of 80% of the posters here. If you don't like cycling just go away and watch some freak show or whatever. But this level of moaning is really getting beyond ridicilous. You ain't cycling fans.

Perhaps you are right BavarianRider but I think some of us are a)Watching because it is the Tour and we love the sport and/or b) Waiting in hope that something special will happen. I think many of us believe that the Tour and races alike could be done a bit better than it has over the past 10 to 15 editions.

True, but also the riders, with the help of team radio, have become much more tactically aware than in the past. It does not always make for exciting racing. Sagan is a breath of fresh air with his sometimes mad attacks.

Funny, you always complain about the Giro.

Really hope that isn't true or if it is then it was an accident, not deliberate and it gets cleaned up before the riders get there.
