Congrats to Fedrigo for an incredibly easy TDF victory.

Yeah. Getting in the break was really easy. It only took like 90 minutes of racing to get it established.

endless thanks to the breakaway riders for making this dumb stage into an entertaining one. VDV had nothing to even challenge Fedrigo at the finish line-he really attacked at the right place & the right time.

in the mean time- Wiggo & the UK postal are cruising to reach the finish line:rolleyes:

Wonder why they waited until 10km to attack, could have been a lot more interesting if they attacked from far out. And CVV did not ride very well at the end. Less cooperation, more tactics please.

Indeed. Hard to understand why he would pull so much with Fedrigo. Fedrigo would beat CVV in 99 of 100 sprints.

He had no kick. He didn't even make it a contest.

Exactly - the only reason for co-operating with Fedrigo was to guarantee 2nd place and guarantee Fedrigo 1st place

Sean Kelly summed it up perfectly. When you jump across, maybe take one turn then sit on - let Fedrigo do all the work then jump when Voeckler is close to regaining contact

Farrar making a late bid for the green jersey.

Probably just seeing how he is feeling.

VDV - maybe try a breakaway on a mountain stage next time.

But PLEASE - Try again.

Utterly pathetic.

I thought Tour wins are supposed to mean something and yet teams like Greenedge would rather have a training ride than make an effort to win the stage.

That was a super effort by Vande Velde to win that stage. Wow. I was blown away by his efforts, especially in the last 500m.

Have you ever ridden a bike? It's not like they have unlimited power. It took a lot of time for the break to get clear today. I didn't watch the first part of the stage but GE probably used a lot of energy trying to avoid an uncontrollable break to go.
