Froome is a coward he should have either gone full out for the stage or just stay with wiggins not behave like a **** like he did.

No, you won't. Stop it or face sanctions.

Susan, I think you have a loss of perspective. I would agree with him, there's a massive amount of Wiggins bashing that's been going on here since 2009 and Bradley and SKY have answered the critics in the best way.

I think a lot of SKY fans and fans of Wiggo and Froome should be allowed to express themselves whether you like it or not (and it's clear that you don't).

I can't tell you how grating this forum can be sometimes with the snide comments, *****iness and whacko conspiracy theorists but I've been wearing it because I know that a SKY tour victory has been coming.

Parrulo, unlucky mate. SKY have won the Tour ;)

I can understand people wanting to take that approach. The tone of these boards has been extremely negative.

In the last few hundred posts Wiggins has been called evil, and someone else wished they all got run over, so I'm surprised it was someone celebrating the win which apparently causes a problem.

Oh well, each to their own.

The run over part, where did you see that? If you know where, PM please.

No questions about the Froome Wiggins incident? Or did I miss that?

Probably not, the problem with sports people is that they have the opportunity to censor the media. Ask nice questions or I won't say anything.

Especially football (soccer) players make handy use of this fact.

Well, on the bright side, this stage had a long enough gap in the middle for me to finalize my thesis and click on the "upload" button. That's done and dusted

ROFL U GUYS HAD TO SEE WIGGINS INTERVIEW ON FRENCH TV. He stated that FRoome was trying to motivate him to gain more time , he then stated that Froome can win the tour de france one day. And he admitted Froome is better than him on the mountains. ROFL he seemed so ****ing weak and he didnt know what to say.

when you have a chance to win the tour you take it this was froome best and possibly only chance of winning the tour because next year it's alberto and andy plus pinot and van garderen a year older and hopefully better it's sad to see him shackled to the wheel of wiggins when he was clearly the stronger rider

To be fair, he's just won the tour de france.

One would have to be completely inhuman not to feel sorry for Froome. I'm sure he would be in the MJ but for team orders.

That being said you can see Sky's logic. Whether we like it or not Wiggins is for want of a better word a 'celebrity' in the UK. Having Wiggins resplendent in yellow on Sunday will make a much bigger splash than Froome. Wiggins looks the part with his 'cool' sideburns & has the advantage of having a genuine London accent.

Then why are there still a lot of criticism surrounding Bradley and SKY?

They might have won the tour but they didn't answer (m)any of the complaints raised at Bradley and the team.

Really, you couldn't make up the stupidity of these people.

Some day ginger you'll have your own accomplishments and then you'll be able to see others with a bit of perspective rather than just childish fanboyism.

um. i think he succeeded in making wiggins look exactly like a b*tch. he kept riding away from him, showing to the world that he was stronger, over and over and over again. if he was seriously interested in helping he would have kept the pace steady.

how much time could have froome really put into wiggins in the two mountain top finishes where he had the chance? 30 secs? 40? not really enough to offset the ITTs and the lost time on mechanical in the first week. and i am not a wiggins fan at all.

Exactly, I guess that's the way he races, burts here and there, it even seems he has problems with a steady pace, as we saw in La Toussuire, yesterday a today at times, pure climber...

How is he weak though? He beat every GC rival bar his teammate, yes Froome better climber but not so good in the TT.

If Froome is payed to support Brad then that's what he has to do. Maybe next year will be different we will see.

Registerd this month, what a surprise, a brit wins the Tour and they immediately start trolling the forum.

Whats all this they crap? Did I get all bent out of shape at the aussies when a couple of them booed Porte and Rodgers? No, because I know the difference between the stupid behaviour of one of two goons and the decent behaviour of the mass. Perhaps you could extend the same courtesy and not lump me and loads of other more moderate brit posters in with the obvious troll? The lads I talk to can see this for what it is, a stich up because Sky sells a lot more subscriptions in GB than they do in Kenya.

Big Doopie said:
nope.

how do you know the riders that are missing would do any better?

you don't.

they are all clinic tarnished.

Nibali was Wiggins' biggest, bar Froome, opponent in this Tour. The same Nibali lost 7 minutes to Alberto in last years Giro... Andy is pretty much on level as Alberto climbing wise. They would both absoutely s'hit all over Wiggins.

There's a diffrent forum for the clinic talk. Don't drag it up here in RR-forum. You might find a couple of Sky-threads down there while you are there btw..

He is weak because he didnt seem to allow Froome to go for the win. On top of that he lied and stated that Froome was trying to motivate him on the climb, when he was actually trying to get the win.

If Froome puts half a minute into Wiggins in the TT on Saturday I would accede that he's been the stronger rider.

I think it's fair to say, after what we all witnessed, that this year's Tour was disigned for Sky to win, and specifically for Wiggins to win, given the London Olympics and the publicity Sky would do for cycling and all.

It's not sincere, but then again we've become accustomed to watching pro cycling for years. Wiggins wins the Tour, even if he isn't the strongest in the race.

That Froome was motivating him was excactly what Froome said himself, so maybe there's actually something too it?

I'm thinking that Wiggins should just have released Froome towards the last couple of km. Froome wasn't going to put 2 minutes on Wiggins even if he had gone for the stage win.

IMO, Sky (Froome) could have won the stage today without disrupting the team hierarchy. Unless Froome upsets Wiggins during the ITT tomorrow.

This. If Froome hadnt lost the time with that puncture it could have been a different story. As it is Wiggins had a lead that Froome would never have been able to cut significantly down on. None of the climbs have created massive gaps unless riders have completely blown, Wiggins would just ride tempo and come in 20-30 down.

As a musician who constantly sees talented people passed over for people who would make "better celebrities" its sad to see cycling going the same way.
