Frank Schleck interview

Frank Schleck announced on Luxembourg TV this morning that he is very tired already, and that he is waiting for tomorrow's stage to get a precise idea on his form.

Well, he's no longer fast enough to factor in the sprints. He's not good enough to play factor in classics. He can't stay upright. And his attitude is ****. So why bother?

(Over the top a bit no doubt, but there's a point to be made here)

He's 28 and as of last year was a viable contender for the coveted "second fastest sprinter in the world" title.

He's had a shocking, disastrous, last 12 months, but he's been too fast and is too young for him to be written off because of a bad season, short of picking up some kind of unfixable injury that permanently limits his speed. I'm sure that this Tour isn't doing his confidence any good though.

Greipel will not contest the sprint according to Sergeant on France TV.

Doubt that's true, why would Lotto work at the front of the peleton if he didn't want to contest it  They have 3 man beside FDJ train now.

Lotto are keeping their options open. Greipel has some shoulder problems from today's earlier crashes, but prolly don't know yet how he can respond... other than he can continue.

To up the odds on the betting sites and put on a cheeky bet. :p

They could be trying to trick everyone else but Lotto still have Henderson. The lead-out train has come to lead people out so they may as well have a go again today, going to be some quiet times ahead for them over the coming few stages.
