Congratulations to Greipel though.

where did valverde finish?

57th in peleton with same time as winner ;)

GC looks to be over for Goss, Rojas, Meyer and Ciolek ( 1:40) from the big names. Not a good stage for GE with 5 riders on 1:40 already,

Aussie bookmakers had Nathan Haas at the same odds as Greipel for the Tour Down Under. Unfortunately, he's now last on GC at 3:04. Anyone know what happened to him?

But weren't they held up within the 3km rule?

How was Sky's lead-out? Thomas, Dowsett and and Hayman leading out Sutton with Rogers and EBH taking it easy? I only read the results.

Yeah, Cyclingnews editor Al Hinds tweeted this. Possible neck fracture. That's serious.

Greenedge all caught behind one of the crashes, I guess?

so is that gonna fly when they are explaining to Matt White? 4 EE riders finished ahead of any Greenedge, LOL! embarrassing. Cantwell was ok, Renshaw was screwed by the crash but still got in a result. would love to be a fly on the wall at GE team meeting tonight

Glad to see Greipel launching his new team in style. Must have been training hard in the winter.

In the offseason, I had almost forgotten about crashes :(

how was Ale-Jet not relegated to last place? if Cav did that, he would have been, and has been for way less movement
