Hmm Boonen should start worrying If he can't beat Sagan on a flat sprint course like this. i don't see how he can win the Olymoics.

Didn't watch but assume Boonen won.

He's actually one of the quickest guys in the peloton when he wants to be, and there were no real sprinters in this race. Against Cav it would be a contest, but in this field he will be comfortable.

I wonder if Sagan will be able to beat Cavendish? I have never seen such a consistent sprinter as Sagan.

Poor assumption.

Having Sagan at the Tour will at least make it interesting or add another sprinter into the mix, then any stage with some climbs and a flat finish will be his if a break doesn't take it.

ToC speckle of a Tour not mini.

Geee, me posting that right when EVERYONE WAS TALKING ABOUT BOONEN GETTING BEAT makes me feel real silly.

Or else maybe it was a sp'oof of someone overestimating Boonen's kick.

The only pure sprinter that started in California was Kittel, but the only stage he could possibly contend for the win was today and he allready abandoned the race.
Sagan doesn't have the topseed that Cavendish has.

On topic, I don't think this proves anything.

This week Sagan has beaten Haussler & Boonen, a couple of guys who are simply not sprinters. I would expect him to school them both in conventional finishes, and he has.

"Tommy Danielson, doesn't win too many races but when he does a stage race he always ends up on the podium. In last years' Tour de Suisse he was 9th and in the Tour de France he was 8th!"

Hahahahaha!
