Wait.. what?

Cooke 2nd and Slagter 3rd?

I predict Goss was 2nd and well.... Slagter 3rd. Can't think of any other Rabo rider who could have finished 3rd here.

Is there a nickname for Slagter yet? Something along the lines of TGBM.

Velits attacked on that last climb. ;)

Ah maybe the peloton was shredded to pieces. Looks like a fun stage.
If all the sprinters got dropped it's not that suprising that Sagan took the win, probably with ease.

The butcher.

Slagter is pronounced the same as a slachter in dutch and a slachter is a butcher.

EDIT!

I have to correct myself.
A slachter or slagter is a slaughterer.
A Slager is a butcher.

So we should call him The Slaughterer! That sounds pretty bad *** if you ask me.

Cool

Because of this comments I noticed my mistake. I edited my post.

A Slagter/Slachter is a slaughterer :)

I've seen Paul Martens refer to him in a tweet as Teejay Butcher. That's a pretty cool one, if you ask me.

About an hour has passed since the end of race and still no top-5, it's annoying to say the least

Just you wait for the Green Mountain, no signal at all on that thing.

Looks like Fuglsang and Nibali are strong. It was perfect today for JRod but he was a bit behind so i guess he's far away from his top shape.

Now that's a strange top10. Almost as if someone picked random names for the top10, but the winner makes too much sense for that.

Fuglsang 8th... Just when I told someone how in the hell he could expect Fuglsang could finish top10 today. (When that person actually meant top10 GC).

Purito wasn't good here last year as well. He will be ok.

J-Rod wasn't in the first echelon when they hit the Green Mountain last year. Okay, could be a sign of bad form, but maybe not for an echelon specialist like him ;)

Yeah who would have thought. I didn't expect GC or stage top 10. Gallopin also getting some good results. Bouhanni confirming!

yeh but i also remember jrod commenting on his disappointment in his poor early form. The fact he apparently made some effort today tells me he could still be amongst it on green mountain.
