What about that stage of the Tour of Luxembourg he's won a few years ago in June.

So April + June + July it is. Hope Pistolero's fine with that.

And Pistolero - I'm well aware of alcohol availability in muslim countries. But either way, I think for Tour of Oman, Andy will go for something different

The fact that comes across from this little exchange of words is that Belgium, (sans an in form Boonan) is a sprinting desert.
Gilbert was the fastest donkey in the race.
Meanwhile, all the thoroughbreds were racing in Germany and the UK.

Seriously, are you going to deny A.Schleck is not interested in anything but his main goals. He only finishes in the bus or attacks and then drops off horribly in other races. Best example is TDS some years ago. Where he attacked in the mountain stages but couldn't even climb faster than Rojas etc and ultimately fell back

Of course, but he does race "seriously" outside April and July. Just rarely, but it happens. The problem with Andy is not that he doesn't want to race outside April and July, but that he doesn't like to train hard/a lot and that's why he's so crappy in most races.

It was obvious he really wanted to win a stage last year in Suisse(June), but it was equally obvious he was under-trained. It's the main reason why he even lost the Tour.

Seriously though, if Purito's on form, with no TT's he has to be the fav. Usually around this time he is on form, well, at least he used to always be for Tour de Med. Hopefully he'll put in a good performance.

Andy Schleck could do many things, but most of the things he does do involve cruising around in the bunch until July, with a short perk-up in the Ardennes.

As for what he should be doing, most of them probably involve a TT bicycle and possibly a wind tunnel.

I think I'll pass the torch of official Andy critic on to the able hands of rgmerk.
It's such exhausting work with the wealth of material available. I'm going to take a well needed break.
