There's just one top sprinter. The rest of them are pretenders.

eurosport2 live: cavendish climbs off his bike and walks near the team car with the other riders. someone says something and the eurosport commentators laugh!
but i did not undertand what Cav or his teammates said

anyone noticed?

That's what happens when you have fifteen teams who fancy their chances in a sprint - complete carnage, even on massive wide roads.

Rabo didnt do to bad imo, they dont have to speed to do the last 2 km (especially with Vermeltfoort dropping out) in qatar. So they are keeping Renshaw safe as long as possible. Dont know what you guys expect but you cant expect this team in qatar to drop Renshaw of at 200 meter and be in the lead at that moment.

I wonder what Renshaw has told the Rabo boys? "Hey guys, just do the usual, you know, drop me off at 2k to go and I'll do the rest."

edit: ah, they're missing Vermeltfoort... the guy who has been lighting up sprints ever since entering the WorldTour.

Where was Steegmans? Not that it would have changed the outcome, but at least we would see Tommeke sprint against Cav.
Great win for Cav though. Hope he does the jersey justice throughout the year.
