Its still early. The sprints are more tricky because fewer riders are above and beyond like they will be later. The only form we should be surprised with is Cav's above average early season ability.

Yes, Eisel drops out of top 10 according to UCI site. And some weird unexplained differences to times of Farrar, Steegmans & Flecha but no position change.

it must be a mistake with Eisel out of the top-10 tbh, i think i saw him togeather with Flecha near Cav after he had fallen, but it was within neutralization zone...

Yeah, but this rule only applies if you have a mechanical or a crash yourself, not a teammate.

Harmonn and Smith didnt realise until about 5 minutes later that Demare was u23 world champion. Which was surprising cos they remembered that he had won some races in Estonia and were going on about the reasons they thought he was a good upcoming sprinter.

When the interviewer asked Demare what he thought about the stripes Harmonn translated that as - what do you think about Cavendish.

Then a few minutes later he was like, oh hang on isnt he the u23 wc
:p

it's not neutralised really, you only get the same time if you are directly in the crash, so if you get held up right behind and can't get around or you fall with the others you get the same time as the group, if they just stopped to check on Cav (which i commend them for doing) then their clock keeps ticking and they loose their GC spot as the time is added

Not sure Sky will be too bothered, shows the camaraderie. Did Flecha not stop then :p

Exactly, u cant do that. You have to keep hands on the bars, thats the rule.

OK, so what exactly should Galimzyanov be banned for again? Please explain?

(If you mean have result taken away, I can understand, but BANNED??? For something his teammate did???)

if this is the role, why Galim and not Selig has to be DSQ?

Both should. Last year there was a similar situation with Freire nad LuLu Sanchez at Pais Vasco and they both were relegated.

OK, I thought one of us was losing our minds here, and I was hoping it wasn't me. Turns out, just a little misunderstanding.
Relegated? Yeah, probably should be. Be a good lesson for them not to do it in the future. Both young guys, especially Selig. Still learning
