Nice tactics by the guy in third place to let the wheel go on the run to give the front two a big lead!

Brilliant leadout that. Hard to find a rider with a more horrible looking sprint style than Ciolek. Fast nonetheless but looks ridiculous.

true. Boonen uses a similar frantic head-bobbing technique when he goes flat out.:D good for Ciolek. its been a while..

What did he say?

Wasn't in a talking mood apparently. Pushed a mic of a portuguese radiostation for some reason. Anyway...Must admit didn't paid much atention to what he said there forward.

Topsport-Vlaanderen guy I think.

Thanks. Well, that was a great gift for Ciolek then.

That was a huge help for Ciolek, but he looked fast enough to be uncontested either way.

You've got good eyesight to work that out from the camera angle we were given. Last we saw overhead he had a 30 yard start + greater speed out of the corner, not sure if he actually maintained that kind of advantage to the line.

OPQS are good what's the score against lotto now?

"This makes win number 16 for Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team this season."

That number does include cyclo-cross races and six day races though.

If everything goes right, they'll add another 2 wins to their palmares tomorrow :)

Lotto has 7 wins so far. Quick Step 12 victories in the road. Hopefully it will be 8 - 14 by tomorrow :)

It's possible  Machado is the favourite but anything can happen, and i'd say there are simialr tt'ers anyway.

Although it Wiggins 2nd in TT and Martin not in the Top 3 in TT, then Wiggo would be on podium and not Martin as 1 second separates them hektoren ;)

7 seconds. Your point is valid though.

Sorry, sorry, sorry. I meant Machado, not Costa. Thing was, I was a more than a bit pi$$ed off that commentators name him "Rooey" Costa, while the portugese pronounce his name as the closest thing to Roy as you're ever likely to get. As it was 3rd spot on GC only, I didn't check closely enough. I stand corrected.

Rui Costa did win the Portuguese national TT in 2010, though Machado didn't race (Costa was of course disqualified later after his tainted supplement positive). Unhelpfully, Costa didn't race the national TT in 2009 when Machado won.

The TTs were conveniently on the same course, however. Machado's time was 50'31", Costa's 51'43".
