1993. Tony Rominger won the stage and took over the leader's position from his countryman Alex Zülle. Rominger held the yellow jersey until Madrid.

Which means my memory abandoned me yesterday and Kelly's win in 1988 was not the only time a road stage ended at Valdezcaray.

Thanks. :)

And it seams that that their memories have abandoned the people who write the official site of the Vuelta much more than yours had, as they have completely forgotten about Rominger - they seem to think Fabio Parra in 1991 was the last winner at a Valdezcaray stage finish: http://www.lavuelta.com/12/en/recorrido/index.html?e=4

Nicolas Portal diplomatically says Unzue was probably joking about Sky causing the crash. :D

Says they just started an echelon because everybody was nervous and stuff.

Its a little different though being poorly positioned and held up by a crash, thats a RACING incident. What happened with Rolland was sabotage by someone outside of the race and nothing to do with racing. Completely different.

Where's the tack crew, or should I "at-tack" crew?

SBTB is up there as well.. im watching 2-3 secs of live video, followed by 20 secs streaming. Are they pulling or just positioning themself?

That would only make sense if Gilbert wasn't working himself.. But he did

And Sagan and Moser aren't there, and there's mountain not a hill at the finish and ... There's absolutely no reason for BMC to be working, but they are...

Rolland had the right to go too. Just race first, discuss afterwards. All that girly waiting for everything and nothing is killing cycling

Agree completely.

The gap is now 1:08 and they are on the climb, which means that Valv has no chance to come back today. He may as well lose a bunch of time so that he can go stage hunting for the rest of the race.

Ha! So I was right and the wiki article where I found that 1993 info was wrong.

And the best thing is, we know whose fault it is: issoisso.

I hope he gets extradited to Sweden or the US or something and pays for his crime.
LOL! :p
