Wow, you're either being overly pessimistic lately or you just underestimate "people" :D

I'm trying to stay close to reality. If that's pessimistic, okay, I don't care. I just know that if I'd follow you all I'd end up majorly disappointed because well, Alberto is only human and he can't live up to those expectations.

BTW, did someone hack your account. Since when did it become "a stupid excuse"??

Those people that'll only remember him for his "stupid excuse", will probably think of it as a "stupid excuse". Needless to say that's not how I feel.

I would not agree. The racing is good, don't get me wrong, but I'm always waiting for one or more of the riders to separate the wheat from the chaff. Very defensive riding--no one is going for the win in the Giro, so much as they are trying to maintain their current gap or not lose any time. Kudos for Hesjedal for riding his race yesterday, but I think Basso waited too long to start trying to apply pressure to win (should have, IMHO, been looking to gain time in the first two weeks as well).

When a Canadian injects the passion that the Italians and Spaniards do not have or refuse to display, there's a problem! just kidding, but it seemed a bit ironic to me. This isn't to say they weren't on the rivet, but still it just was so dull with the exception of Hesjedal. Catching youtube synopses at the end of the day was more than sufficient.

my people let me down!!!

When someone throws it down, even what little Hesjedal did, Alberto looks forward to that moment, what I saw at the Giro this year looked like a bunch of guys who dreaded the moment when they would have to dig down to find out what they had left. To say this is better racing is just crazy.

I am curious to see how the next two GT's will compare to this passionless parade. Especially when AC will have so little racing leading up to the Vuelta. It will be like watching Ali defending his title after a very long layoff.

Depending on news later today, this could become the greatest Vuelta ever.

When it rains, a ray of sun, seems like spring.

Let's hope a certain Luxembourgian baby can look past the disappointment and see the light as well.
