gthx_gthx_ said:Just the very best GT rider currently riding. Deserves that kind of nickname imo.

gthx_gthx_ said:Indeed on logical term you won. Nicely done
But one can consider him the King because as of today nobody has proven that they are able to defeat him.
Wiggins_Sideburn said:A number of people have beaten him, namely LL Sanchez, Cadel Evans, Andy Schleck and even Levi at San Luis.

It is the races he did win, that makes him the king.
LaFlorecita said:He is. Sucks for you if you don't like it, but that's the way it is, deal with it. Alberto is the most talented and the best stage racer of his generation, some would even say best and most talented cyclist. He is arguably the best climber, a great ttist as well and most importantly he ATTACKS. This Tour de France reminds me how grateful we must be that there is such an attractive rider. I am so, so proud to be his fan.
And besides all that, he is also a great person. Humble and polite.
Who would you suggest as King of cycling?

gthx_gthx_ said:Ok , but let me state the obvious when trying to explain myself why he deserves to be nicknamed the King.
He is the king when riding a GT in top form.
Of course since we're talking about a nickname : this mostly means that he is the most likely to win any GT he enters with the objective of winning it.
Isn't he the only rider in the peloton to have won the 3 GT ???
Ooops no he is not in the peloton right now , so of course , he never acheive any of that. Therefore he is no king![]()

gthx_gthx_ said:Yeah i guess the lack of attacking in this year tour de France has upgraded his status from King to God.
I hope this time God will not die.
