Nobody got any faith in Vanendert or De Gendt? :D

Hey, they're not my favourites either, but both are good riders and both have done well in this race before al ready.

Also, Spilak might do very well, but alas, there's only ten places in a poll. Would've liked to see Duarte again, and I'm also wondering why raboblanco arn't riding, considering they won this race 5 times in the last 15 years, and they had two riders in the top 10, one of them second, last year.

Its Dennis, not Jelle.

Startlist from the official site has Jelle as number 51 and Dennis as number 57. But I see Cyclingfever doesn't have him, but they start the Lotto team at number 52. I also can't imagine he wouldn't ride, unless he were sick or injured or something. So did I miss some news about Jelle not riding?

He had an esophagus inflammation in Pais Vasco.

Don't know why the startlists are different. I used this one:

http://www.procyclingstats.com/race/118260022-De-Brabantse-Pijl-La-Fleche-Brabanconne-1HC-2013-Startlist

Haven't heard anything about Jelle.

edit: redundant after penta's post

I think this race last year was the first time I really started liking Voeckler :D

I used to be annoyed by the attention ***** that Voeckler is, but he has won me over by some awesome attacks, like last year in the Brabantse Pijl but also the way that he won the polka dot jersey in the TDF. Do we really need to complain about him acting so silly, when he gives us great racing to look at? No!

Ah all right. Too bad he isn't riding. :(

Is it possible to edit polls? The poll should have either Spilak or Meersman instead of Vanendert now.....
Which one do you want? I can edit it for you :)

Uhmmm both, but since that's not possible, I'll go for Gianni Meersman. Thanks! :)

(I actually think Spilak has a better shot personally, but Meersman is the captain of his team I think, riding with number 1, so it's probably more appropriate)

That is exactly the point. The legend lives on.
What legend? A guy who doesn't care about cycling, and loves to cheat? That's the issue.

When a man attacks 32km before the line and forces a reaction from the main riders in a race, I can forgive him for snatching my girlfriend.

Voeckler isn't pretty to look at, but hey you can't get everything you want in life.

I'm very curious as to what effect the extra climb, the Holstheide, in the finishing lap will have. It comes with exta kilometers of flat and some relatively big roads where they could organise a chase more than on the narrow twisty roads on the rest of the lap. It seems to me it will be a bit less favourable for attackers.

I also think the Holstheide is a pretty easy climb compared to the others. I don't know for sure, because I never actually climbed it, but I've used it at as a descent often enough, it seems like a fairly steady grade and a relatively big road. At least I don't think it has any >10% parts like all the others climbs.
I think there is a plus 10% part in the middle. It used to be have a horrible road surface which made it quite difficult, but they relaid it a year or two ago.

No. I'm not bro, you've seen me joking here and there. I just hate cheaters that's all. If you like those riders for the entertainment value regardless if they cheat, that's your problem, but do NOT try to enforce it on other people.

I vote for kreuziger... just because. Saxo needs something to cheer for beside Bertie. Bertie doesn't ride next week, so Kreuziger should be the leader:D
