I thought it was a great win by Sanchez. He really did have some epic pain faces going on there to hold fuglsangs wheel.

Was surprising to see navarro and rodriguez both attack and get swept up, I thought purito would stay away.

Contador looked good on the front. I think Porte's legs felt like they had that little bit left so he attacked to solidify his position, but often when youre riding hard tempo you dont know just how much is left, just that something is. Looks like he jumped and then his legs said he didnt have much left.

The alien is so ugly on a bike. Like he's molesting it at 450 watts.

Great stage.

It was maybe too flat for Rodriguez but he tested his legs, surprised by Sanchez I thought he was done for at one point!!, true grit great win sprint and emotion.
Contador looking increasingly dangerous a lot of people must be feeling a bit foolish for writing him off a few days ago... Now it looks clear to me that this is training for him and the team. More scope to get his top shape than anyone else IMO. Great work on the front today.

Was it only me and The Hitch that said Samu for today's stage? Really gutted that I missed the stage but I'm really happy now!

that's just alberto saying to navarro... aa aa..dude. not you too. I got enough one of my ex gregrio passed me in ITT. Walk my dead body first before it can happen twice in one race. purito, I can live with that, but not you. :D

on side note: alberto is qualified to be a skyborg :p

Froome chased on stage 5, why not today. Sky will do everything to stop Alberto from winning. By the way Alberto can't earn any WT points so his position doesn't matter.

Kreuziger is riding Tour de Suisse

He can earn WT points and he does get a rank... His value points just don't count toward the teams WT licence. Just pointing it out for the newbs...

Does Tank think Roman is Russian and rides for Sky??? :D

Yes I know that :D I just thought: why would Riis care about WT points. He only cares about rider value points so I guessed that was what TANK91 meant :D

I think he cares about the WT points in so far as he wants the team ranked inside the top 15 for obvious reasons.

Isn't it more about giving Rogers a podium ? I know obviously he is Saxo-Tinkoff also but iyou don't ALWAYS see this in teams when the leader is down on GC and the #2 is going well. Sky/Wiggo/Uran spring to mind in the giro...

The team has allways been about riding for the teammate with the best advantage on the day/for the race. It's a core ethos of the team.

Looked like a good stage, I shouldn't have decided to sleep in. :(

Anyways great win for Samu, he's an aging veteran of cycling but he's still got some fight left in him. Great to see him win today.

Taaramae. The most inconsistent rider ever.

He's struggling with allergies but is happy that things are improving according to his blog. Considering how early he got dropped he finished in pretty decent position. Top 10 still possible but his main target tomorrow is to help Navarro finish on the podium.

I couldn't watch. But... WHAT THE ACTUAL ****.

Stef Clement!?!?!? Can anybody explain to me? How did he get there? By own strength?
Sometimes riders coming out of Giro have super form in Dauphine, which is clearly the case with Clement. Super weird that he's climbing better than he TT'ed though, never saw that coming.

Very interesting indeed,Im surprised with Navarro form, hopefuly he isnt peaking too early.;)

I get the struggling with allergies thing..

Today I did a bike ride. Right now my eyes are watering every 3 seconds and my nose is letting go all the stuff that's in there... ****ing pollen allergie.

There are medications but with days like today there is really nothing that helps. Riders suffering from this allergy are certainly a few % off their best
