No matter what absurdity the grade of hatred reaches, apparently Froome has very good chances to win at 3 stages in the Tour Ax-3, MTT and Alpe-d'Huez. Store up fortitude (though some you don't have it) or don't follow the Tour. :)

Don't you realise, no one hates the Sky team ? The love for Wiggo just flows out of the keyboards. It's a campaign of love made to look like a campaign of loathing. Okay the love increases when Wiggo is riding. Froome has no need to do much for the rest of the race but if he is feeling good he might have a go but he will have to react to Contador of course. Maybe Rodriguez will show something or Rolland.

for me its enough Froome's pictures from other forum section, where people take any early Froome pics and start godlessly bashing him for that. I think on form form will beat Rodriguez in sprint. I agree he'll react only on Contador. He even can let win Valverde and Purito easily

Not to admit such outstanding riders damn! I'm shocked, to put it mildly.

Maybe Rodriguez is not trying too hard as part of his preparation. Some riders like to do that before a big race like the Tour. The Tour will be interesting as many of the GC riders are not showing much even in June. TJVG should do well in TDS. Andy still an unknown quantity at this time. For all of the criticism about Contador he still looks at a good level if he improves before the Tour which is possible. Porte has stepped up a level this year which can only help Froome.

Yes I am not gonna follow tdf but I didn't need your advice for that.

Today Contador will beat Froome in sprint attacking on that 10% section of the last climb.

I actually want Contador to do something here. Even if he beats Froome by a couple of seconds it will just set up everything nicely for the Tour. The last thing I want is Froome winning everything as we all know in a 3 week GT most riders have a day where it all goes wrong. Defeat here will focus the mind again.

Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, it sounded better when I said it in my head :D

I can't see a top form Froome beating a top form Purito in an uphill sprint (unless Froome attacks earlier).

After a 30minute+ effort Froome could, not on a Murito hill though.

I'd expect some form of attack on Noyer with only several riders starting the climb to the line together.

On another note, how good will tomorrows stage be do people think? Good enough to get up at 5 AM on a Saturday?[/quote]

The finale will be good, its unavoidable imo. Close to 30 mins of action probably.

The rest will depend of the strength of the break on Alpe methinks.

And some crazy descent action?

Yes 10% is too steep for Froome. He is not a specialist.

Will the riders be attacking before the downhil that leads to the final 4 kms. I hope Froomey goes all out attack so once and for all we know what he can do, surely if he goes before the downhill and then rides 4 kms solo he can put 1 min plus into Contador:rolleyes:

Seems like they might be letting 22 (!) go?

Very powerful group.
Rolland included.
Astana and Saxo with resources.

Must check GC gaps shortly.

Edit: Seeldraeyers best placed rider +3:30

Surprising they'd let a breakaway with Seeldrayers go, particularly such a huge breakaway. Will be hard to catch them. Sky surely won't have many domestiques left going into the last climbs at least.
