For as long as Nibali and Evans are first and second, Cyival's role as leader will probably be unchallenged: all about who shares the podium for now.

Very similar to yesterday: most of the daily top ten are absent from the game, Mezgec is again top selected racer (nice unique pick for Martyfulu), other unique picks Lancaster and Belletti one more gain points, but not enough to make up for their owners' lack of Nibali's Pink jersey points, but rather than Ferrari and Modolo bringing some points to a larger contingent of players, our two teams with Viviani pick up a few points. 12 of us draw a blank today.

Martyfulu again wins the stage (43 pts), and all 26 remaining Nibalists lack the minor point riders, so share 2nd place.

In the GC/Mountain/Red jersey inclusive scores, the withdrawal of Wiggins and Hesjedal are obviously today's main changes that impact on the game, but those riders who gain points because of it gain just a half dozen or so each. So the only large points increases today are associated with the stage result.
There are points drops though: the Wiggins teams drop 104, the Hesjedalian teams lose 28, and those who have Pirazzi, another popular pick, take a 12 point hit as he finished 9 minutes down.

MCMountain and Bicycle Boy both saw 89% of their budget stay in bed this morning as the race started.

Tuarts climbs into a virtual podium spot, other minor moves at the bottom of the top ten: tomorrow has far more potential to shake up the rankings.
