If I told you that, people would be inclined to vote for their own self interest :p

It is now v little hassle (add 1 column to a spreadsheet SUM(a1:d1) code), and the difference is 20 points from top to bottom of the list of beneficiaries.

And that's exactly why I asked. :p

I think it would be fine to just leave as is at this point. If his points are taken away on CQ, it won't be until much after the Giro.

Pleased I got my setup right, close but no cigar!

Trofimov improved his GC rank today so should be even closer but there's no way I'll win.

Congrats MV! Pirazzi was a great pick, way better than that spud Cobo.

CQ will DQ Di Luca after he is suspended. His points will be re-allocated but the TTT result will stand. If it is no trouble then you should submit the ammended results as it might be important for top 3/10.

(Following comments of others, I have not factored in any reallocation of stage points taken by Di Luca, but it would have lead to several changes in the top ten if I had)

Virtual points changes

Dam you Armchair!
:p

I had the 2 top point earning riders though so hopefully I moved up from the 9th I've been occupying in the virtural standings. Happy with how I've done so far this Giro cq game though. 3 stages wins and was 1st in standings a couple times.
Too bad yesterday's stage was canceled though, that probably negatively effected my placing a bit as I think Betancur would have had a good chance to gain some points there.

Thanks yet again for all your work BTW. :)

I think Nibali-Hesjedal is a better duo than Nibali-Betancur. I was gonna pick Betancur for stage points in medium mountain stages + decent chance of GC points.

But then I remembered I could pick a serious contender ftw for only 100 points more ;)

Oh boy, I sure do regret this one

Stage 21: final daily points

No 18 point pink jersey bonus today (but that is fairly incidental considering how far adrift all the non Nibalists are)

Modolo 40 points for 6 teams

Ferrari 7 pts for 14 teams
Belletti 3 pts for 1 team (Bicycle Boy, our lanterne rouge and his first points since stage 13)

Daily top ten

Well done Mellow Velo: despite an illegal pick, you still come away with a comfortable win.

Manafana in 23rd is the only rider without Nibali to beat any rider with Nibali.

Geraint Too Fast's unusual tactic of picking the whole Astana team left him last of the teams that picked Nibali, but at least he chose the best team.

Cangratulations to Mellow Velo, well deserved victory as he would have beaten the record for most points ever in a GQ GT game if not for the cancellation of stage 19.
As for me it was a pretty uneventful journey except for the clean sweep of the podium of the MTT.

See my post in the main game thread (basically wondering if you can upload an update tomorrow).

To get beaten by someone who just copypasted the Astana squad does rankle a bit though.

Thanks for that and to all. Hadn't realised it would/could have been a new TS.
Thanks to Armchair for the regular and speedy updates.
Hard to believe my hastily assembled squad won out.
As pointed out, so pushed for time, that I hadn't even read the rules properly:eek:.
First instinct may be the key.;)

Sorry for not contributing to the general Giro chat, but I don't post on CN any more.
But for this, I had too.

Finished in 6th overall, alright, I'm happy with that. :)
Too bad my wildcard picks like Gatto and Quintero (was hoping for a high finish in a successful mountain breakaway) weren't able to perform. Should have also gone with Pirazzi who I was seriously considering for a while. But went with Locatelli instead based on his cheaper price and the fact that he would be more of a wildcard pick meaning more profit if he did end up performing.

Anyways, looking forward to the Tour game. I can tell I'm much better at these smaller CQ games then the year long one. :D
And Congrats to Mellow Vello.
