Cavendish is the only thing I don´t like in this Giro. Just as I would dislike Euskaltel working for Sammy Sanchez in a edition of Het Nieuwsblad.

Cav wins enough. There is racing going on in Norway and California, so why does he have to do the Giro?

No, serious. Just as far as entertainment factor is concerned, ofc.

teams have to make a living. they do that with sponsorship. the best way to get sponsorship is to win the biggest races. the giro is a GT and worth alot in sponsorship $$$ so if you have the opportunity to win stages, of course you're going to send the fastest sprinter in the peloton

they don't race for free, they have a job to do

Cav is a big fan of the Giro. always rides it. IIRC he lived in Italy in the early stages of his career.

Yeah! Cavendish is so selfish, why does he have to go and win races in the most important tours? Why can't he just stick to racing the tours in which no one will remember or care about his wins in?

I agree, you don't see Viviani racing the Tour of Britain denying Cav a win in his home race, why should Cav deny Viviani the chance of glory in front of a home crowd? It's a complete joke.

Guys... I know all of that, and every single one of you is 100% right... But I was just in the mood to write I don´t like to see him and his soldiers on the screen, and to be certain who´ll win this stage... ;)

I also could´ve written I hoped he´d retire from cycling... ;)
