I'm not a huge Cav fan, but mad props for that performance. That should really be your prototypical sprint stage, not these dead flat ones that always end with the entire bunch finishing together.

Cavendish is a legend 4 stage wins and he will hopefully end up completing his 2nd Giro in a row. So you have to respect the guy finished 2 GT's last year and 2 probably this year.

Maybe 250kms is too much for him. He had no legs.
Promising result by Nizzolo though. He seems too handle distance well.

Maybe, he lost the wheel before that though. He could have ridden his leadout to 200m and then gone but losing the wheel and seeing Cav coming past on the right probably just made him jump to early.

Cav is still in the game.

Will probably come down to stage 17, one more win in the final stage is unlikely to be enough to hold off Evans.

Cav won four stages, Evans none. Evans only finished once in the top 4 of this Giro so far. But in the end he's going to win the jersey. Ridicilous.

Third week is where it's at Hitch. If you don't like it, go on the internet and complain. oh wait... ;)

I wasnt complaining just trying to liven up the discussion. But I don't think 3rd week was that bad. Finnestre was a mega stage and there was the macanuga mtf and the nevegal tt. Sure it didn't turn out great but that's cos Contador wasn't there not cos the stages were poor.

OPQS can even try to go for intermediate sprints in some stages (even the last stage) if he needs the points. It will probably compromise the leadout, but he seems to be keen on completing his GT-points jersey-set and they might need to take some risks for that.
