Stupid Scarponi trying to chase Niemiec :(

It was a great group for Lampre, with Niemiec the best GC rider, and Michele was "smartly" trying to clode the gap and take other riders with him:mad:

Who would work for 70 miles with Cav in their wheel also ;P.

OPQS vs the break tommorow. Maybe BMC can disrupt the chase ;)

Basically everyone with an ounce of confidence in their own climbing ability.

Just create a GT with 21 stages of medium mountains. Now that will provide excitement :D

Just make one with 21 pancake flat stages so the Cav whiners will quit their moaning.

KIller and rabottini were in the break. The others are just not good enough for such a climb.

Tactical fail. Santa was the one 4th on GC with a stage win. The others have already had a go in the breaks, Scinto needs to consolidate his eggbaskets.

Nibbles saying they let kangert ride so he could steal bonus seconds from Evans and others. Well played.

Thought that was a real possabilty, still he used lots of energy and so did Nibs closing gaps.

I'm not saying I disagree but Santa had looked excellent in every mountain stage so far. They were probably confident he'd be fine today even with no help.

Was indeed surprised to hear he had been dropped.

They did the job on Evans today. He was one of the best sprinters left in the front group with Sanchez and that 20 second bonus would have been nice but they left it to him to close the gaps at the end. He sat back, end of story. Sanchez should have chased the front group as he is risking nothing being so far down GC and Evans was probably wary of towing Nibali into another time bonus. Well played by Astana and once again Evans lack of team mates is apparent when he needs them.

So if Cav doesn't take some points tomorrow, Evans just needs Top 3 in ITT, and good two last mountain stages to wrap points jersey? Looking like Cav will miss out again by small margin.

Scinto said he's partly responsible for the big fail today.

I thought he might have had a mechanical. Sometimes good climbers struggle on those stages and then come out the next day on a big mountain stage and do well.

If Cavendish does well tomorrow and wins the last stage which is flat he is still in the running.

Yes, but I SAW Nibs closing gaps...it all worked out as planned in the end, except Kangert didn't win LOL.

Happy for Movistar; no GC guy but 3 stage wins now :)

He talked to RAI and didn't mention any mechanical. He simply had no legs.

Santambrogio is a pure climber now rather than a hilly rider? Goddamn, cycling is so wrong.

Anything could happen on the last two mountain stages. Could be a complete reshuffle of the top 10.

Didn't say that but it happens. Maybe just feeling the third week in the legs.
