Nibali goes second...wow...Wiggins has lost quite a lot of time it seems...This will surely help Nibali in the ITT. Wiggins has to have a stellar ITT tomorrow now..One mistake and Giro is over for him

Super stage...loved this one...lot of action..as expected :)

Mental block for Wiggins after the fall, that's understandable, but that's how you lose a GT...needs to toughen up!

I think he will easily take back the time deficit tomm. if he is unhurt

Kelderman has to be the favourite for white after today. The only Blanco rider to follow the Nibali/Scarponi attack on the penultimate climb. Very impressive by the whippersnapper.

Evans seems to be back to his best BTW. Could he win the Giro?

wishful thinking from the es commentators that nibali was not in the first group ;)

They were willing for it... They just didn't want Nibs in the front group.

Rapha style hipster ride. Looks like he gave up for a moment, psychologically speaking. Interesting that they insisted on sacrificing the Colombians.

Great performance by Hansen. He really owned this stage.

I think giocattoli's ds saw the potential of Blanco's new marginal pains strategy and instructed his riders to use it more.

Tomorrow is another day.

Agreed that's the likely outcome (that he's back in the top 5 really), though I am curious whether Wiggles mentally quit today and how that affects his ride tomorrow.

Things looking promising for Evans. He was looking very strong on that final climb when leading the peloton up it.:)

Time trial is a massive unknown for Cadel. I am not optimistic.

Wiggo 1m30 back on race leader so 1m 25 back on Nibs. All depends who recovers better from todays crashes.

Nibs had a bit of luck that neither he nor his bike broke in the crash. Fortune favours the brave though !

Wiggins not having a (big?) lead going into the 2nd week may mean everyone else is happy to wait for Tre Cime.

Would be better if the margin was great one way or the other. Hopefully he is ok and can take 3mins on every tomorrow.

What do you guys think about sky stopping both uran and henao to wait for wiggo?

Hope nibbles is fine. He didn't look good after the crash. He managed to bridge to the front group only in the final kms.

Hats off to Blanco anyway. Bobby G really stepping up his game.

Wiggins was very lucky the descent was almost over when he fell. He was riding like a grandmother after that.

I wonder what Evans can do tomorrow.

Yep me too , he seems to be in very good form at the moment , i do know the detail of the general classification yet , but imo he could be in the Top 4 after tomorrow.

there you have it:

C.A.R.N.A.G.E.

Folks were warned-this stage -as I stated it- was so crucial that it was going to shape up the Giro Podium. the aftermath is simple: the main battle is between Nibbs & Hesjedal. ;)
