Tx, no idea why I thought that. Stage is good for him anyway.
Well, Spoltore is right next to Pescara, so maybe you just have good geographical knowledge :p

Il Killer will definitely want to make his mark.

It'll save the entire first week of the Giro for me if Danilo wins tomorrow:cool:

You dudes reading the same profile? This stage is easier than Milan San Remo. Power climbs with too long a run at the end for a break to last. Sky and Quickstep to make sure everything stays together.

Put all your money on Cav top-3 or win then  Or bet with me. 100$ that Cav won't be in the front group.

Spoltore is 10km away from Pescara btw.

Edit: beaten by tons of geo masters.

100$?

Is that the only money you want to make?

I think it is pretty safe to bet 100000000000000000000000000$

Sunday looks a better stage for all the breakaway, making a difference to GC position shenanigans. Can't see Cavendish being dropped on this stage. I tip Goss to win.
Are you sure you are checking the right profile?

For an allegedly exciting stage, this is an awfully dull thread.

Where do people actually think people will attack.

Feel free to break down 'people' in to various categories. I'm just intrigued to see what people are actually visualising, given the precise placing of each climb.

Will any GC rider go before the final climb (which is too short to make a real difference). The next climb before that is 20km to go at the top, so a very serious commitment if you go from there in a GT(which this is, not a short classic).

Well does someone have exact profiles of the hills? That would be helpful.

Did you miss Tirreno? This could be carnage.

Selection on Santa Maria. Attack on San Silvestro.

If Chieti doesn't cause the first real selection then the rest of em won't either. IMO chieti will see some 2nd tiers launch an attack with the 1st tier riders falling apart on Santa maria / San silvestro.

Ofc Chieti trims it down, but I think they'll wait for Santa Maria to go full gas.

Nibali and others will do nothing because there's a 55km tt tomorrow and they need all the strength to limit damage to wiggins in the itt

Go into a TT fresh, with Wiggins fresh and lose 2:30-3 minutes. Or go into a TT hurting, With Wiggins hurting, lose 3:30 minutes but with 30 seconds to a minute lead on him, maybe more if he really cracks. This stage has been put there as an invitation, I hope Nibali et. al. get as much stick as people give Wiggins if they ignore it.

I know that. It is the Betancur type of riders the ones I am interested on. All terrain riders that won't do that good in the TT that can win the stage that won't have a shot at winning the Giro.
