MAybe there is something to Vaughters speculation about Wiggins being sick. But then that makes Sky's decision to sacrifice BOTH Henao and Uran yesterday all the more bewildering.

Scarponi third at the intervall only 30 seconds down. Obviously the first part of the TT isn't for the specialists really. Scarponi.... he should be more than a minute down by now if things were normal. But so should Henao and Uran.

I'm not sure it's that strange they're up there right now? I mean all the real challengers are still to come, apart from Wiggins who is just not right at the moment. Lets wait for Evans to come through at the first marker before judging these times. Remember there's no Martin or Cancellara to have set a time to compare performances with.

If Nibali does go through with the best time, then I don't think he would have any chance to maintain it. In some longer efforts, Nibali appears to go out to hard at times, which hurts him in the back end.

What I don't get is why the judges haven't told them off yet. It's been way to long without some interference by now. While I agree what they're doing is wrong it seems odd to let it go on for 30 km without interfering and then penalizing them afterwards.

The start does seem quite technical though, so Nibali might get the first time simply on style without going all out. Though you'd expect Evans to be quicker if he's on form (and he's been looking better than he has since he won the TDF).
