Ok folks-after today's stage results, this is what's up for tomorrow:

A medium Mountain stage means Stage Hunters who saved energy on the ITT will be itchy to get in a breakaway & venture for glory-Kool & that's one race...

The second race will be set by the likes of Gesink, Hesjedal, Scarponi, Santambrogio, Pozzo & perhaps Sanchez trying to get back time on Nibs & mostly on Wiggo to widen up the time gaps, since there is one more TT to deal with ahead in the race. This is where is going to be very exciting & yet again dangerous for SKY, since is clear that Wiggo descends like ASchleck- so they will look to exploit that weakness & force a fast pace to explode the race.

The 3rd race is what SKY is going to do about the second race.... either Wiggo manages to man up & deals with the adversity like a champion, or just keeps pulling back my men Uran & Henao to "accompany" him to the line.... Its all up to the SKY's DS....

Nibbs will be fine either keeping the Maglia Rosa due to the 2nd race-or letting it go by the 1st race....;)

Could be an uneventful stage, big favorites take it easy after two hard days. But who knows? Hesjedal or Scarponi might ignite the fire

Astana aren't going to bother chasing anyone who's not a direct threat to Nibali, there's room for some movement lower down the GC.

i think the two colombians performing an awesome TT today was the best outcome for Sky....all they have to do is send Uran or Henao up front, forcing Astana and others to chase...Wiggins/Other Colombian sitting on Astana's wheels. If the Colombian sent up front succeeds great...if Astana chases and catches, then Wiggins could start thinking about attacking or sending the other Colombian up the road....would def be a sound strategy (unless Wiggins has another "bad" day and just drags the Colombians out of the top 10 again)

I agree that sending Uran/Henao would be a great plan for sky... but will they do it? Im afraid they will just do a train for Wiggo instead.

If someone manage to get away on the Cat 3 it could prove very beneficial to have a teammate in a break in front.

Would be very interesting to see who tries to get in the break tomorrow.

My feelings on the supernatural may be known to some of you, (like rujanos climbing prowess, it's a myth propagated by people with wild imaginations) but just in case, can everyone predict that it will be a boring stage like they did on 7.

Cheers

Whether vino reading this forum and deciding on this basis to launch a shark attack counts as supernatural, I don't know.

There's too long from Fiesole to the finish for anything (successful) to happen. All the action will be about establishing the botd. Favourites to roll in together.

If we pray hard enough perhpas the one true God will call upon his prophet and demand an attack that will shape things up big time

It's been a good 48 hours for Movistar and it was interesting to see Juan Jose Cobo put in a decent TT today coming 22nd after a somewhat disappointing 1st week in the Giro.

Cobo is over 49 minutes down on GC and I'd fancy him if he could manoeuvre himself into the breakaway as he poses no threat overall. He's won stages in Grand Tours before and on his day is a match against any climber.

I've backed him each-way at 150/1 for the stage.

Added to that, if Visconti isn't feeling up to keeping the KOM jersey then the team could keep it this way instead.

I predict the favourites to roll in together and Quigley to conclude that it means wiggins has things under control and everyone else is suffering.

It'd be more useful giving the profiles of the descents the way this race is going.

And weather forecast

Lol, Sky Fanboys complaining.

Breakaway win for sure. Can Killer come back after his horrible ITT ? or will Vini Fantini have Rabbotini in the breakaway? Pirazzi is guaranteed to have a go.
Betancur could be allowed to as well.

I see half of the Colombian-Coldeportes team in the breaway!!!
They know they have not done anything this far and they need results quickly.

Why not send the nine together and rotate with eachother! :D

This stage don't seem as neutral as I thought at the beginning. Those gradients look interesting.

Sounds good to me :) RCEG ftw & KOM jersey!
