Has there actually been any objective evidence for Wiggins' claim that he is in the form of his life? TT was very average by his standards and he hasn't dropped anyone in any climbs this year that I can remember.

Looked good to me at Tirreno which was before he was even on form yet.,

Not seen the stats but apparently he did put good time into everyone on the more traditional TT bits yesterday. Form of his life would be stretching it a bit IMO but we'll see.

Not guaranteed that Wiggins will get dropped on descents in the days to come. Tomorrow is a rest day which might give him a chance to get back there mentally and if its drier through the rest of the race then a few teams might be regretting not putting the pressure on earlier.

There was an idea a few years back that he was a poor descender but he seemed to have put those ideas to bed. Seems that poor descending has resurfaced for some reason.

It's the rain. I don't think this would be happening in dry conditions. If the rest of the race is drier the other GC contenders might regret not killing him off.
