There's some controversy about whether Boonen said that100 riders had "been dropped" or that they had "abandoned".
"Ze wisten al op voorhand dat er sneeuw ligt. Toen konden ze al ingrijpen en er een volwaardige wedstrijd van maken. Nu waren er zeker al 100 renners gelost toen de wedstrijd werd geneutraliseerd. En die renners mogen nu gewoon weer voortrijden. Dat vind ik niet kunnen."
My Dutch is awful, but I reckon gelost can mean both?

Sagan is still there. And an EBH win wouldn't be surprising(or bad).

It's cold and he's from Norway, the distance is shortened and that was always a big weakness of him and a lot of big riders/domestiques have abanonned already.

Gelost means dropped. He's complaining about the fact that riders that got dropped got back in the peloton now after the race got neutralized.

But he can't complain about that apparantly. :rolleyes: (not directed towards anyone in particular).
