Ciolek has been on the bottom end of a lot of crap and being overlooked since joining HTC years ago.
It's his own fault actually, if you would like to say so. The first thing everybody over here (15 km from his birthplace) was like is: "Uh no, not with Stauffi again...".

Anyway: What a race, what a finale, what a winner.

Great ride by Sagan, smart Ciolek. Cancellara didn't have legs today.

Sagan said he was really marking Chavanel and Canc and didn't care much about Ciolek. He didn't realize what a great sprinter he is.

The best thing about Sagan he don't care about finishing 2nd. No whining about others not taking pulls, like Canc would do. All he said is he will be stronger in RVV.

Agreed. Cancellara was obviously not strong enough but I think he will peak in RVV and PR. Sagan was naive, he got too caught up marking cancellara that he forgot about ciolek. Didn't his team warn him over the radio about ciolek's sprint? And for those saying that Sagan did a lot of work, I don't think he did as much as cancellara does to end up 2nd or 3rd.
Chavanel and stannard were very aggressive but perhaps they should have cooperated more. I dont understand what happened to EBH. Ever since last year's tour he has become a better climber but he couldn't get over the poggio well enough:confused:

Yeah, if Sagan did the same and lost the race, you would said he was over-confident and arrogant

Not at all.. I would have said "Chapeau! That's what a great rider does Peter!"

Great win for Ciolek.

Cav undone by the ego of Tom & Chav in the end - tiny gap there and Chav was pulling a group he couldn't win in.

In fairness to Chav, he clearly had a free role, but I certainly wonder what his DS was up to.

I'd also rather question the supposed Flandrian hardmen, who obviously didn't fancy it, and one of whom prioritised making a statement to the organisers over supporting a team mate. Shameful.

Hopefully they'll give Cav stronger support next week, just in case they get a bit of rain.

indeed, where were all these supposed cyclocross hardened belgians?

more belgians on the DNF list than on the finish list

I'm not sure his domestique deluxe work and occasional minor classic win makes up for his salary. Sky pay him to deliver in the big Classics, and he just isn't delivering.

Yes, it's not like Sky are short of domestiques. I imagine Stannard has already replaced EBH for most of the rest of the season. Sky are nothing, if not ruthless.

Here's a tip to Cav: don't diss your team-mates in the media. Obviously they don't want to work for him.

Great win for Ciolek and his team, he has been knocking on the door for the last few weeks and then, BAM, BAZINGA, you win Milano - San Remo.

How about that.

Sehr schon, kein Umlaut on my keybord, excusez moi.

Here's mine to them: work for him or your DS will bring in somebody who will.

I'm sure they'll **** off Chavanel, Terpstra, Vandenbergh and Boonen just to get Cav his support to get beaten in a sprint by AK.

He'll be undisputed leader for the Grand Tours, but outside those he isn't the top man. ;)

After he failed to win stage 1 in the T-A. I'm all for Cav criticizing his team-mates in the bus, but no need to take the trash out to the media. We saw today how high the moral is of the QS boys to work for Cav. Very low.

Fair enough.

Edit: He probably should have kept his mouth-shut rather than talk to the media allthough if OPQ messed up he has every right to be angry about it.

What's Cav's next team going to be? :p
