Looking at the top20 now, Saxo Bank failed yet again. They're all under performing, even Contador. They better get it together otherwise they'll be out of the WT next season and rightfully so.

Amazing ride from Phinney too. It was earlier reported that he abandoned.

Would be interesting to know when he launched from the main pack, though he really can't have, it almost looked like he made up 14 seconds after the red kite. Monster effort whenever it was he attacked.

Great ride by Sagan, smart Ciolek. Cancellara didn't have legs today.

Sagan said he was really marking Chavanel and Canc and didn't care much about Ciolek. He didn't realize what a great sprinter he is.

The best thing about Sagan he don't care about finishing 2nd. No whining about others not taking pulls, like Canc would do. All he said is he will be stronger in RVV.

All i took from this is that he under-estimated his opponents and that he is over-confident.

You cannot win without confidence. Look at Stannard, he knew he had no chance in sprint so he tried his move. Was he over-confident when he thought he could pull a 10km solo?

Stannard tried to win by breaking away like any great rider does, He couldn't pull it off but continued to put on a great show anyway.

Plus he continued on because placing well is important to any rider.
